Release: Hub Hybrid (4G) (without casing) is now available for order

Ajax Systems is delighted to announce the release of a new version of Hub Hybrid (4G). The hub now also comes as a board compatible with Ajax Case D (430). Hub Hybrid (4G) (without casing) is already available for order.

The product name will change soon

It is one of many updates to the Ajax portfolio segmentation.

Previously, Hub Hybrid (4G) could be purchased only as a device with its own casing. Now, the hub is available both in the original casing and as a board. The new version can be installed1 into Ajax Case D (430), allowing installers to efficiently arrange multiple devices within a single casing.

Get to know the hub

Hub Hybrid is a control panel that supports Superior and Baseline devices altogether. Wired and wireless devices can be combined in one system to build complex protection regardless of the site size. The hub runs eight lines for connecting wired devices using the Fibra communication protocol, and also has Jeweller and Wings antennas for wireless devices. Each connection offers up to 6,550 ft of secure two-way communication2 between the hub and connected devices. Meanwhile, Ajax accessory modules can split, protect, and power the Fibra line, extending wired connections to tens of kilometers. Additionally, the ReX 2 radio signal range extender can amplify wireless communication, effectively doubling its range when necessary.

Hub Hybrid runs on OS Malevich, a proprietary real-time operating system, and efficiently manages up to 100 devices, 50 users, and 9 security groups. The hub instantly notifies users about alarms and events with informative push notifications. The device also features a tamper alarm, reports internet connection loss, and automatically changes radio frequency within a band upon detecting radio interference or jamming. Additionally, the hub supports Tree and Ring topologies3, which help protect connected devices from sabotage attempts. The former allows for branching and wiring cables in unexpected ways to confuse intruders. The latter forms a ring that splits into two fully operational lines without losing any connected devices in case of breakage. In such an event, the system instantly alerts both the security company and users.

Always online, even during power outages

The hub can connect to three internet providers at once. It uses Ethernet as the primary channel and two SIM cards that support 2G/3G/4G(LTE) as backups. If the primary channel connection is lost, the hub automatically switches to the SIM with the strongest signal. It only takes a few seconds to switch between channels.

With a 12 V⎓, 7 A·h backup battery, the hub can power 30 wired Superior devices for up to 60 hours when using a SIM with inactive Ethernet. And if Battery Power Saver is enabled, the system can operate for 200 hours straight. At the same time, wireless Ajax devices require no additional power, as they run on batteries. Thus, the hub remains online to protect the site even during power outages.

Automation for greater safety

The hub supports up to 32 automation scenarios, which can be triggered automatically by arming/disarming, button presses, detector alarms, or at a scheduled time. The system can also activate a smoke machine if an intruder enters the premises, as well as power off the entire facility or separate appliances, control electric locks, roller shutters, garage doors, and more.

Photo alarm verification

Hub Hybrid is compatible with MotionCam detectors. When these detectors are triggered, they capture a series of photos. The first photo is sent to Ajax apps in just 4.5 seconds4. This rapid image delivery helps quickly assess the situation, saving users from concerns and security companies from unnecessary dispatches.

Learn more about Hub Hybrid (4G) (without casing):

1

Ajax Case D (430) is sold separately.

2

The value represents the range of wireless communication in an open space. For wired communication, the maximum length can be achieved with a U/UTP cat.5, 4 × 2 × 0.51 mm (24 AWG) cable. Other cable types may have different limits. Please use our Fibra power supply calculator to check the wired system project before installation.

3

Ring topology is available with OS Malevich 2.16 and later. Tree topology is applicable using the LineSplit Fibra and LineSupply (75 W) Fibra modules.

4

With the TurboWings protocol and a photo resolution of 320 × 240 pixels. The firmware version confirmation is required. Up to 9 seconds using the Wings protocol at the same resolution.
