Panic mode

Button Jeweller immediately alerts a monitoring company of emergencies so that they can respond appropriately. The button can be configured to send different event types such as intrusion, fire, gas and auxiliary alarms, and more. It is also possible to set the custom event type that will not be sent to the monitoring station, for example, boiler leak notifications. Users can change the alarm type remotely through Ajax apps.

Control mode

Control mode

Button Jeweller can control one or several automation devices, such as relays, sockets, light switches, and others. Different scenarios can be assigned to short and long presses. For example, a short press turns the lights on, while a long press switches them off.

Mute fire alarm

Mute fire alarm

Button Jeweller can instantly silence an interconnected fire alarm. If pressed during the delay phase, the button hushes the siren of the triggered detector. If the alarm has already propagated, the first press mutes all in-built sirens except that of the initiating detector. The second press silences the remaining detector.

Scenarios that make life easier

Appliance management made simple

Button Jeweller enables users to manage lighting or appliances with a single press. For example, configure the button to turn all desk lamps on with a short press and switch them off with a long one. A simple automation scenario spares users the trouble of switching every lamp in an office.

Unique wireless technology

Jeweller

Unique wireless technology

An Ajax system uses two-way secure radio communication based on the Jeweller proprietary protocol. It provides block cipher encryption and device authentication at each communication session with the hub to prevent sabotage, spoofing, or data theft.

Scaled and comprehensive

For complex radio signal conditions, the ReX Jeweller range extender boosts the range of all Ajax devices and manages their communication with the hub via Jeweller. And ReX 2 Jeweller assures stable communication even through steel and concrete via Ethernet using the wire as the additional communication channel. Up to 5 range extenders can operate within one Ajax system to expand the network twice as big, covering multistorey buildings with underground parking and basements.

System supervision

All Ajax devices perform automatic self-diagnosis and report their states to the hub. Essential parameters, such as communication status and battery level of the button, are regularly monitored. Button Jeweller reports its state once a day. The Ajax Cloud server controls communication between the hub and Ajax apps, ensuring instant notifications for ARCs, security companies, and users. In case of any malfunction or communication failure, an engineer is informed immediately to provide necessary services.

An Ajax system instantly sends informative notifications of alarms and events: users and a monitoring company know exactly which device was triggered, as well as the location and time of the incident.

Communication loss detection

Communication loss detection

The device regularly exchanges data with the hub. Button Jeweller reports on its state at each press and automatically once a day. In case of communication loss, the hub notifies users and a monitoring company of the incident.

Effortless installation and setup

Pairing Button Jeweller with a hub is easy: just scan the QR code using the Ajax app. With its IP55 enclosure, the button can be used in almost any environment and be either portable or firmly mounted on a surface. The Ajax alarm button — multipurpose device for time optimization and 24/7 security control

Protection day and night will be provided by installing a security system, and an important addition can be the Ajax Button. The alarm button is a part of the security system, and it’s the fastest way to call for help. The security button is used in apartments, private houses, offices, restaurants, banks, shops, and other objects. The main advantage of the Ajax wireless alarm button is the wide range of applications. The user receives an alarm button and a smart device for the living space automation and daily activities control.

How the Ajax button works in a wireless alarm button mode

Ajax Button works as follows: in case of an alarm, the signal is received by the appropriate service and connected users. The device supports four types of alarms and the smart home control function in the alarm smart button mode. Below, we will consider each option of using the multipurpose smart button in more detail.
  1. Dangerous situation. Immediate call of the security company patrol and notification of all system users about the danger. The button will help scare off burglars by activating a silent alarm (alarm mode, which will be heard and visible only on the security panel, but at the point of operation will not give any alarm). If the children are alone at home, then in case of a threat, parents will be immediately aware of events.
  2. Fire alarm. At the first sign of a fire, noticing sparkling wiring, smoke or a slight smell of burning — press the button to call the fire brigade.
  3. Gas leak. One-touch emergency gas service notification.
  4. Call an assistance. Install the Ajax Button next to a person who may need attention. For example, in the room of a close relative. One push of an emergency button and help is on the way.

How the Ajax Button works in wireless control button mode

Another essential function of the button is to control the room's elements. It's the same alarm button that allows you to easily manage your home, turning routine actions into quick tasks solutions. Automation scenarios are launched with one or two clicks. The wireless control button will allow the user to turn off the light with one click, turn on appliances, lower and raise the shutters, and open the gates. Here are some examples of using scripts for the wireless control Ajax Button:
  • Closing and opening a store with one click.
  • Control of garage doors from the car. The button is easy to fix on the dashboard, and the code grabber can not reproduce its signal.

  • With a short press, switch the house to smart-fortress mode: close the shutters, lock the electric locks on the doors and gates. And long press to turn on the night lights.
Scripts management can be made even more convenient with the Holder bracket, which allows you to pin the alarm button where it will be easily accessible in an emergency. At the same time, the wireless device will remain mobile — the button can be quickly removed from the holder and can be used as a keychain. The Ajax Button is a device that simplifies life by replacing routine actions with automated ones.

Why the Ajax wireless alarm button is better than the others

  • Guaranteed alarm delivery

Button transmits a signal to the Hub security system via the Jeweller — two-way radio protocol, at a distance of up to 1300 m. And informs the user with a green LED on the case about the command successful delivery. Jeweller protects the transmitted data with encryption and eliminates forgery of the device. In the event of interference or jamming, the Ajax system switches to free radio frequency, alerting users and the seWorks with the first press, does not require awakening.
  • Convenience in installation and use

Thanks to the case, which is protected from dust and splashes, the button can be established in any convenient place, even close to a floor. The button's design allows the implementation of the device in any interior. The colour options of the device are black and white.
  • Accidental activation of the alarm is excluded

Thanks to the well-thought-out design, only a deliberate push of a button is possible. Ajax Button will not work, even if you sit on it or lie down. For additional protection against false alarms, the button can be set to double or long-press. You can set this protection in the Ajax application in the button settings (Devices → Button → Settings). The device is wear-resistant and works from one CR2032 battery for up to five years (the battery is pre-installed).
  • Connect in a minute

The button connects to the Hub security control panel when scanning the QR code via the Ajax application. The device is fixed on a surface through fastening of Holder, without disassembly of the case. A few minutes and the button is ready to go.

Step-by-step instructions for using the wireless security button

  1. Open the Ajax application.
  2. Click the Devices tab.
  3. Select the Button device.
  4. Go to Gadget Settings.
  5. Assign user.
  6. If you use several buttons in one space — mark each button with a unique identifier for ease of use (Use different device colours or mark with a marker).
Each emergency button press will be displayed in the Ajax application as an event performed by the user assigned to the device. The user receives a notification from whom the signal came from.
