The security company calls a rapid response unit

KeyPad Plus has a panic button that triggers an alarm. The panic button can be set up to notify users about the alarm, activate sirens, or run an automation scenario. If the user is forced to disarm the system, they can use a duress code. After the code is entered, the keypad simulates regular disarming and sends an alarm to the security company. KeyPad Plus has one duress code for the device and supports individual codes for up to 200 users3, including unregistered ones.

System supervision

All Ajax devices perform automatic self-diagnosis and report their states to the hub. Essential parameters, including tamper, communication, power supply, and sensor statuses, are continuously monitored. The Ajax Cloud server controls communication between the hub and Ajax apps, ensuring instant notifications for ARCs, security companies, and users. In case of any malfunction or communication failure, an engineer is informed immediately to provide necessary services.

Data encryption

Data encryption

All data the system stores and transmits is protected by a block cipher with a dynamic key. Encryption makes it extremely difficult to reprogram the keypad and replace or steal the data.

Data-rich notifications

Data-rich notifications

The Ajax system instantly notifies about alarms and events with informative notifications: security companies and users know exactly which device was triggered, when and where it happened.

Protection against spoofing

Protection against spoofing

The hub checks the device’s unique parameters for authentication during each communication session. If any parameter fails the check, the hub ignores device commands.

Regular polling

Regular polling

The device regularly exchanges data with the hub. The system controls each device state and reports if there is a malfunction or connection loss. Updating the statuses of devices depends on the Jeweller settings; the default value is 36 seconds. Regardless of the polling period, tamper alarms are sent instantly.

Communication failure detection

Communication failure detection

The device regularly exchanges data with the hub. With minimal polling interval settings (3 data packages and 12 seconds), it takes only 36 seconds to identify communication loss and notify the security company and users about the incident. Additionally, the hub is controlled by the Ajax Cloud server, so each element of the system is supervised.

Protection against code guessing and use of third-party devices

Protection against code guessing and use of third-party devices

KeyPad Plus is locked if an incorrect code is entered more than three times in a row within a minute. The keypad only responds to cards, key fobs, and smartphones authorized in the Ajax app, so controlling the system through a third-party access device is impossible.

Duress code and panic button

Ajax product lines

Superior, Fibra, and Baseline product lines are mutually compatible. This opens up numerous possibilities for building systems of any configuration.

Keypad for arming and disarming the security system from the alarm

The burglar alarm keypad is used for convenient control of the security system. It is difficult, and sometimes impossible, to control the alarm system without an installed keyboard. The main advantage of the device is the possibility of remote control of the security system. A built-in battery powers the wireless keypad of the security system. Devices are most often equipped with anti-vandal protection.

Keypad classification for signalling

Keyboards for signalling are complex and straightforward. In simple devices, interaction with the control unit occurs using LED devices. With the help of such a device, the user receives basic information. In complex models, a liquid crystal display is used to communicate with the control device. In the second case, the operation of the alarm is more convenient, and there are more opportunities for adjusting the settings.

Wireless touch keyboard for alarm Ajax KeyPad Plus

The Ajax KeyPad Plus is a wireless touch panel for managing the Ajax Systems security system. The keyboard is supplemented with a built-in reader of Ajax Pass contactless cards and Ajax Tag key fobs protected from forgery. The system is equipped with a block of touch buttons for dialling an access code and separate buttons for setting the alarm to night mode, arming, disarming and indicators of the activity of all methods. Depending on the alarm control panel model, Ajax security systems support 200 Tag or Pass. Hub 2 intelligent control panel supports up to 50 users, Hub Plus up to 99, Hub 2 Plus up to 200. Each user does not need to create an account in the application. This principle of operation simplifies the delegation of control of the security system modes by connected users. The keyboard supports wireless communication with the Ajax control panel using the two-way Jeweller protocol at 868-868.6 MHz. The communication range is 1700 m in open space without obstacles. For reliable protection, protection against signal substitution and jamming are used, and pings check pings check the communication signal at intervals of 12 seconds. The signal is protected from spoofing and interception thanks to blocking encryption based on the AES algorithm and authentication. A built-in tamper protection tamper sends an alarm when an attempt is made to dismantle or damage the keypad. Power comes from four AAA cells. The battery life is up to 3.5 years, and with the card reader turned off - up to 4.5 years. The body of the KeyPad Plus touch keyboard is made of durable white or black plastic with LED indication.

Purpose of touch wireless keyboard Ajax KeyPad Plus

The Ajax KeyPad Plus wireless touch keyboard is designed to control the operating modes of a room security alarm. It is also possible to program automation scenarios. For example, when arming the system with one button on the keyboard, you can use automatic closing of roller shutters, shutting off the water, turning off lights, turning off electrical appliances, etc. KeyPad Plus alarm touch keyboard in conjunction with Ajax Hub Plus, Hub 2, Hub 2 Plus control panels, ReX repeater with OS Malevich 2.11 and higher, which can increase the number of devices connected to them, scaling up to an integrated security system and "smart" home.

Features of Ajax KeyPad Plus

The KeyPad Plus touch keyboard of the Ajax security system can activate/deactivate the alarm with one touch or turn on the night mode. The user can monitor the status of the system using LED indications. The "Function" button can act as a panic button. Two-way communication with the control panel allows you to understand whether the security system accepts the recommendation of LEDs and beeps indicates commands' execution report possible errors. The indication on the panel also suggests the lack of communication with the alarm panel.

Secure Access Keys

Ajax Pass contactless cards and Ajax Tag key fobs allow you to arm or disarm the system without using an application or an alarm password. MIFARE® DESFire® identifiers operate at a frequency of 13.56 MHz and use the best-in-class DESFire® contactless technology, which, as one of the most secure, is used in NASA access systems: complies with the international ISO 14443 standard, has 128-bit encryption and fraud protection. Thanks to authentication, it is impossible to change and intercept the signal. Signals are hardware-encrypted based on the AES algorithm andDES encryption. The Ajax mobile application and the security system support flexible configuration of the access rights of the card or key fob user to manage the security of the entire facility or individual groups. All actions that were performed using a specific identifier are saved. In real-time, the administrator can restrict access rights or entirely revoke the access key if it is lost or stolen. To add a card or key fob to the system, you need to bring the access key to the reader on the touch keyboard, following the prompts of the setup wizard in the Ajax application.

Silent alarm mode

If an intruder forces a user off the alarm, a code is provided, upon entering which a remote alarm signal is sent to the control panel and disarming the system is only simulated. When you try to select a code and enter the wrong combination several times in a row, the wireless keyboard is automatically blocked. It sends a message about exceeding the allowable number of access code entries.
