Superior StreetSiren Plus Jeweller is a wireless siren for outdoor and indoor use. Superior edition. It is equipped with an LED frame and a speaker that produces a sound volume of up to 107 dB. The siren can also be powered by a remote 12 V⎓ power supply.
Superior StreetSiren Plus Jeweller operates within an Ajax system and communicates with a hub via the protected Jeweller protocol at a distance of up 4,900 feet in an open space. Superior StreetSiren Plus Jeweller operates for up to 10 years on pre-installed batteries.
This product line is developed for projects. Only accredited Ajax Systems partners can sell, install, and administer Superior products.
Superior and Baseline product lines are mutually compatible. This opens up numerous possibilities for building systems of any configuration.
Functional elements
LED frame.

Second tamper. It triggers if an attempt to detach the siren from the surface or SmartBracket is detected.

Compatible hubs and range extenders
The siren is compatible with a hub with OS Malevich 2.26 or later versions.
Operating principle
Siren performs four tasks:
Informs about alarms. The siren responds to system alarms and tamper triggering, enabling a speaker and an LED backlight to scare off intruders and attract attention.
Indicates the security status. With an LED indication, the siren can notify that the site is armed. Superior StreetSiren Plus Jeweller informs users about delays when entering/leaving with a sound signal and backlight.
Notifies of opening (Chime). When the site is disarmed, the siren informs you with a particular sound that the opening detectors are triggered. This feature is used, for example, in stores to notify employees that someone has entered the premises.
Notifies of triggering until the site is disarmed. After the beep sounds, the LED indicator in the lower right corner of the siren starts flashing. With this feature, users and security company patrols passing by can see that the siren has been triggered.
Alarm volume and duration
After the alarm is activated, the siren sounds from 3 seconds to 3 minutes, emitting a sound volume of 85 to 107 dB. In Ajax apps, you can configure the alarm duration and volume, as well as determine which devices will trigger the siren.
Protection against sabotage
Superior StreetSiren Plus Jeweller is equipped with tamper buttons. The tamper button is triggered when the siren enclosure is opened/broken, or somebody tries to remove the siren from SmartBracket.
In the event of sabotage, users and the security company know exactly which siren the intruders are trying to disable. The notifications contain the following information:
The hub name (name of the guarded site).
The incident time.
The siren’s name.
The alarm type.
The virtual room to which the siren is assigned.
It is difficult for intruders to dismount or disconnect the triggered siren if it is installed properly. The siren has a robust enclosure and a protected speaker and operates on pre-installed batteries. Therefore, the device will continue to operate even if there is a power outage at the site. Also, the power button is blocked if the system is armed. This feature prevents the siren from being turned off.
Jamming detection
Superior StreetSiren Plus Jeweller features a radio interference detection algorithm. When a potential jamming attempt occurs, the algorithm detects a sudden increase or decrease in the noise level. It takes into account not only the amplitude of the noise but also the duration over time. This helps to distinguish between short, temporary disruptions caused by environmental conditions and sustained interference resulting from intentional jamming.
When Superior StreetSiren Plus Jeweller detects a potential jamming signal, it initiates signal analysis to confirm jamming. If jamming is confirmed, the siren activates an alarm.
When the Radio interference detection feature is enabled, the security company and users will receive a notification of a sabotage attempt, and the sound of a siren will scare away intruders.
Sending events to the monitoring station
An Ajax system can transmit alarms to the PRO Desktop monitoring app, as well as to the central monitoring station (CMS) using SurGard (Contact ID), SIA (DC-09), ADEMCO 685, and other protocols.
Superior StreetSiren Plus Jeweller can transmit the following events:
The lid is open/closed.
The mounting panel is locked/unlocked.
An alarm due to loss/recovery of the main power.
Loss/recovery of connection between Superior StreetSiren Plus Jeweller and a hub.
Turning the siren off/on.
When an alarm is received, the monitoring station operator of the security company knows what happened and where the rapid response unit has to be sent. Addressability of Ajax devices allows you to transmit to PRO Desktop and to the CMS events, device type, its assigned name and location (room, group). The list of transmitted parameters may differ depending on the type of CMS and the selected communication protocol.
Device ID, loop (zone) number, as well as line number can be found in its states.
Adding to an Ajax system
Superior StreetSiren Plus Jeweller is incompatible with Hub (2G) Jeweller, Hub (4G) Jeweller and third-party security control panels.
To pair Superior StreetSiren Plus Jeweller with the hub, you must locate the siren at the same secured site as the system (within the range of the hub radio network). If you plan to use the ReX Jeweller or ReX 2 Jeweller radio signal range extender, first add the siren to the hub and then connect it to ReX Jeweller or ReX 2 Jeweller in the range extender settings.
The hub and the device operating at different radio frequencies are incompatible. The device’s radio frequency range may vary by region. We recommend purchasing and using Ajax devices in the same region. You can check the range of operating radio frequencies with the technical support service.
Before adding the device
Install an Ajax PRO app.
Log in to a PRO account or create a new one.
Select a space or create a new one.
Add at least one virtual room.
Add a compatible hub to the space. Ensure the hub is switched on and has internet access via Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and/or mobile network.
Ensure the space is disarmed and the hub is not starting an update by checking statuses in the Ajax app.
This product line is developed for projects. Only accredited Ajax Systems partners can sell, install, and administer Superior products.
Pairing with an Ajax hub
Open an Ajax PRO app. Select the hub you want to add the device to.
Go to the Devices
tab and tap Add Device.
Name the device, scan or type in the QR code (placed on the device and the package box), and select a room and a group (if Group mode is enabled).
Tap Add.
Turn on the device by holding the power button for 3 seconds. The hub sends a connection request only when the siren is turned on.
The power button is recessed into the enclosure and is tight to press. You can use a thin, hard object, such as a pencil, to press it.
To be paired with the hub, Superior StreetSiren Plus Jeweller must be within the hub’s radio communication range, i.e., at the same guarded site.
Superior StreetSiren Plus Jeweller shuts down automatically 6 seconds after turning on if it cannot be added to the hub. There is no need to deactivate the device to retry pairing. If Superior StreetSiren Plus Jeweller is already assigned to another hub, turn off the siren and follow the standard addition procedure.
The added siren will appear in the list of hub Devices in the app. Updating device statuses in the list depends on the polling interval defined in Jeweller settings. The default value is 36 seconds.
It is possible to add up to 10 sirens or keypads with a built-in siren to one hub.
Malfunctions
When a malfunction is detected, an Ajax app displays a malfunction counter on the device icon. All malfunctions are shown in the device states. Fields with malfunctions are highlighted in red.
A malfunction is displayed if:
The device temperature is outside acceptable limits.
SmartBracket is unlocked (tamper is triggered).
No connection with the hub or radio signal range extender via Jeweller.
The device battery is low.

To change Superior StreetSiren Plus Jeweller settings in the Ajax apps:

Setting the siren response to device alarms
In Ajax apps, you can separately configure the siren response to alarms of each detector in the system. This feature is helpful if you do not need to activate the siren in case of a specific device’s alarm, for example, when LeaksProtect Jeweller triggers.
To set the siren response to a device alarm:
Open the Ajax app.
Go to the Devices
Select a device from the list for which you want to configure the siren response.
Go to the device Settings
Find the Alert with siren option and select the toggles that will activate it. Enable or disable the option.
Repeat steps 3–5 for other system devices.
By default, the siren response is enabled for alarms of all devices in the system.
Setting the siren response to tamper alarms
In Ajax apps, you can configure the siren response to tamper alarms of each system device. If the feature is enabled, the siren will beep when the device’s tamper is triggered.
To set the siren response to a tamper alarm:
Open the Ajax app.
Go to the Devices
Go to the device Settings
Select the Service menu.
Go to Sounds and alerts.
Enable the Alert with siren if lid of hub or any detector is open option.
Tap Back to apply the settings.
Setting the siren response to pressing an in-app panic button
The siren can respond to pressing an in-app panic button.
A panic button can be pressed even if the system is not armed.
To set the siren response to pressing an in-app panic button:
Open the Ajax app.
Go to the Devices
Go to the device Settings
Select the Service menu.
Go to Sounds and alerts.
Enable the Alert with siren if in-app panic button is pressed option.
Tap Back to apply the settings.
Setting the siren after-alarm indication
The siren can inform about triggerings in the armed system with LED indication.
The feature functions as follows:
The system registers the alarm.
The siren plays an alarm (duration and volume depend on the settings).
The siren uses a light indication with a pattern according to the LED indication type setting:
The LED indicator in the lower right corner flashes twice, about every 3 seconds.
The entire LED frame flashes once, about every 3 seconds (if an external power supply is connected).
Indication will continue until the system is disarmed.
With this feature, system users and security company patrols passing by can see that the system has been triggered.
The siren after-alarm indication does not work for always active detectors if the detector was triggered when the system was disarmed.
To enable the siren after-alarm indication, in the Ajax PRO app:
Go to siren settings:
Hub → Settings
Specify what events the sirens will inform about by double flashing before the system is disarmed:
Confirmed intrusion/hold-up alarm

Lid opening
Select the sirens needed. Go back to LED indication. The set parameters will be saved.
Tap Back. All values will be applied.
Setting specific alerts on alarm cancellation and alarm abort
In Ajax PRO apps, you can set which devices should beep if the alarm is canceled and which devices should beep if the alarm is aborted in hub settings. The Alarm cancellation annunciation and Alarm abort annunciation features are required for systems that should comply with ANSI/SIA CP-01-2019 standard*.
To select devices to annunciate on alarm cancellation and alarm abort, in the Ajax PRO app:
Select the required hub and go to:

Ensure that ANSI/SIA CP-01-2019 is selected for the Compliance with standard setting.
Select devices for Specific alert on alarm cancellation and Specific alert on alarm abort features.

How to set up Chime
Chime is a sound signal that indicates the triggering of the opening detectors when the system is disarmed. The feature is used, for example, in stores to notify employees that someone has entered the building.
Notifications are configured in two stages: setting up sirens and setting up opening detectors.

Functionality testing
An Ajax system offers several tests to help select the device installation place. Tests do not start immediately. However, the waiting time does not exceed the duration of one “hub—device” polling interval. The polling interval can be checked and configured in hub settings (Hub → Settings → Jeweller or Jeweller/Fibra).
To run the test, in an Ajax app:
Select the required hub.
Go to the Devices
Select Superior StreetSiren Plus Jeweller from the list.
Go to Settings
Select a test:

Selecting the installation site
The placement of Superior StreetSiren Plus Jeweller is determined by its distance from the hub and the presence of obstacles that impede the passage of the radio signal, such as walls, inter-floor constructions, or large-size objects at the site.
When choosing a proper location, consider the audibility of the siren, as well as the visibility of its LED indication, as this determines the device’s performance.
Superior StreetSiren Plus Jeweller withstands heat, cold, and temperature drops. The sealed enclosure is certified and complies with the IP54 protection class. The siren is protected from rain and snow and can be installed on the facade of the building without a canopy.
Signal strength
The Jeweller signal strength is determined by the number of undelivered or corrupted data packages over a certain period of time. The icon in the Devices
tab shows the signal strength:
Three bars — excellent signal strength.
Two bars — good signal strength.
One bar — low signal strength, stable operation is not guaranteed.
Crossed out icon — no signal.
Check the Jeweller signal strength before performing a final installation. With a signal strength of one or zero bars, we do not guarantee the stable operation of the device. Consider relocating the device, as repositioning even by 20 cm can significantly improve the signal strength. If there is still a poor or unstable signal after the relocation, use a radio signal range extender.
How not to install the siren
Near glass break detectors. The siren sound may trigger an alarm.
In places where the audio signal of the siren can be jammed.
In places where the LED indication of the siren will not be visible.
Near metal objects and mirrors. They can shield and attenuate the radio signal.
Closer than 3.3 ft from a hub or radio signal range extender. This can lead to a loss of communication with the device.
In a place with a low signal level. This may result in the loss of the connection with a hub.
Installation
Connecting a third-party power supply unit
When connecting a third-party power supply unit and using Superior StreetSiren Plus Jeweller, follow the general electrical safety regulations for using electrical appliances and the requirements of regulatory legal acts on electrical safety.
Superior StreetSiren Plus Jeweller operates on pre-installed batteries for up to 10 years and is equipped with terminals for connecting a 12 V⎓ power supply unit.
Before installing the device, be sure to check the insulation of the wires for damage. Use only a grounded power source. It is strictly forbidden to disassemble the device under voltage! Do not use the device with a damaged power cable.
To connect a third-party power supply unit:
Carefully break out the corresponding perforated part to exit the cable from the back or bottom of SmartBracket. If you need to run a cable from the top, drill a 0.24″ hole on the top in the marked area of the SmartBracket mounting panel.
Route the cable of an unenergized power supply unit through the mounting panel.
Connect the cable to the terminal block, observing the polarity.
Turn on the power, and the External power field setting will change to Connected in the Superior StreetSiren Plus Jeweller states tab.
Install the siren.
After connecting a remote power supply, do not remove the batteries from the siren, as they function as a backup power source.
The system will notify users of the need for service when the battery level drops to 25%.
Installing the siren
Before installing the siren, ensure that the optimal location that complies with the requirements of this manual is selected.
The recommended installation height is 8.2 ft or more. This will make it difficult for intruders to access the device. If you try to detach the siren from the mounting panel, the system will raise an alarm. The security company and users will receive a notification of a sabotage attempt, and the siren will scare away the intruders.
To install the siren:
Fasten the SmartBracket mounting panel to the surface using bundled screws. When using other fasteners, ensure they do not damage or deform the panel.
Double-sided adhesive tape should only be used for temporary installation. The device attached with such tape may come unstuck from the surface at any time. As long as the device is taped, the tamper is not triggered when the device is detached from the surface.
Attach the siren to SmartBracket and press it down to install.
Secure the siren with a lock. This reduces the risk of burglary.
Maintenance
Check the functioning of the device regularly. Clean the device enclosure of dust, cobwebs, and other contaminants as they emerge. Use soft dry wipes suitable for equipment care.
Do not use any substances containing alcohol, acetone, petrol, and other active solvents to clean the device.
The batteries installed in the siren provide up to 10 years of battery life. If the batteries are low, the system will send a corresponding notification, and the LED indicator in the lower right corner will light up and go out when the system’s security mode is changed, an alarm is initiated, the siren enclosure is opened, or the siren is detached from the surface.
