What is the difference between Combined and Heat and smoke detection modes?

EN54 FireProtect (Heat/Smoke) Jeweller can operate in one of the selected detection modes:

  • Combined detection (by default)
  • Heat and smoke
  • Heat
  • Smoke

In the Combined detection mode, the detector uses both sensors together. The smoke sensor sensitivity dynamically adjusts based on ambient temperature, while the heat sensor operates in A1 heat sensor mode.

In the Heat and smoke detection mode, the detector reacts to heat and smoke independently. Each sensor can trigger an alarm on its own. The smoke sensor uses a fixed sensitivity threshold that does not depend on the ambient temperature. Additionally, the heat sensor mode can be configured separately.
